Jason Taylor is a Dolphin again

Jason Taylor signed a one-year, $1.5 million deal to return to the Miami Dolphins. Recall that Taylor won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in 2006 as a Dolphin before being traded to the Washington Redskins. After two subpar and injury-prone seasons, he's back in Miami.

I've been waiting for this announcement for weeks, and I'm glad the team finally saw the sense in bringing Taylor back. He'll be an upgrade to their pass rush and will offer veteran leadership to the younger players on the team. Welcome back, Jason!

Dolphins Stadium renamed to LandShark Stadium

When you think of the Miami Dolphins this year, you may think of Jimmy Buffett too. Buffett kicked off his new association with the Dolphins with a concert and the announcement that Dolphins Stadium will be called Landshark Stadium this year. The naming deal ends before the Super Bowl, when the stadium will either revert back to Dolphins Stadium or the name of a new corporate partner.

I don't like corporate names for stadiums, but Landshark Stadium is a better name than Pro Players Stadium was. Preferably, I'd like the Dolphins to play in Dolphins Stadium, or even its original name, Joe Robbie Stadium.
