Second round pick QB Chad Henne signed with the Dolphins. He was the team's final draft pick to sign, a good sign considering that it isn't August yet. Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but it is believed to be worth $3.5 million over four years.

After a potentially season-ending knee injury to their defensive end, Phillip Daniels, the Washington Redskins may be interested in trading for Jason Taylor. According to ESPN, talks are underway between the two teams. One factor that lends credence to the latest Taylor trade rumor is that the Redskins have plenty of salary cap space to accommodate Taylor's contract.
Update: the deal is done! Jason Taylor goes to the Redskins for a second round pick in 2009 and sixth round pick in 2010.

The reason why I haven't posted in a while is that there hasn't been any major news to report. Even the Jason Taylor saga isn't making the news. So far, Taylor is still a Dolphin and will play this season in Miami. There was a minor ripple earlier this week with speculation that the Dolphins will try to acquire Brett Favre, but I consider that a long shot.
