No playoffs this year after loss to Bills

I suppose it was fitting that the Miami Dolphins lost to the Buffalo Bills 17-14. After all, the Dolphins were playing at home, where they're 1-6 this season. That, combined with the team's 6-1 road record gave the Dolphins the record for greatest disparity in home/road records in NFL history. In the process, the Dolphins were eliminated from the playoff race.

The game was as close statistically as on the scoreboard. PK Dan Carpenter did miss four field goal attempts, but his shortest try was from 48 yards away. The home team, especially the offense, was booed throughout the game.

Miami has one more home game, against the equally woeful Detroit Lions. Will the Dolphins win their final home game or end the season weakly with nothing left to play for?
