Dolphins get first home win of 2010 by beating Titans

One week after suffering their first road loss of the season, the Miami Dolphins rebounded by posting their first home victory, 29-17 over the Tennessee Titans. In the process, the Dolphins also lost their top two QBs.

In a somewhat controversial move earlier in the week, Chad Pennington was named the starter over Chad Henne. Pennington didn't last past the first series, re-injuring his shoulder. Henne led the Dolphins to 20 points before hurting his knee in the third quarter. Third stringer Tyler Thigpen then came on to post the best numbers of all three and sealed the victory with a touchdown drive in the fourth quarter.

In addition to Henne's and Thigpen's contributions, the victory should also be attributed to the defense, which held to 259 total yards and forced three turnovers.

Pennington's injury is season-ending, and the severity of Henne's is still unknown. Additionally, OT Jake Long hurt his shoulder and LB Cameron Wake injured his hip. Let's hope all of the players recover quickly. Unfortunately, the Dolphins have a short rest period this week, taking on the Bears Thursday night.
