Defense lets down Dolphins in loss to Jets

The Miami Dolphins offense had their most impressive showing of the young season, but the defense proved to be porous, especially in the fourth quarter, resulting in a 31-23 loss to the Jets. The outcome was in doubt until the last minute, when Chad Henne threw an interception in the end zone. However, Henne performed better the rest of the game. He threw 44 times in the game, completing 26 of the passes for 363 yards and two touchdowns. Henne hooked up with Brandon Marshall for 10 catches, 166 yards, and a TD.

Unfortunately, the defense gave up 31 points, more than the first two games combined. DB Jason Allen was victimized on two big plays. One was on a 67 yard touchdown to Braylon Edwards. He was also called for pass interference that led to the Jets' clinching score.
