Texans get first win of season at Miami's expense
This was the most disappointing loss of the season so far. Just when it seemed like the Dolphins were turning the corner after victories over the Patriots and Chargers, they lost to the previously winless Houston Texans, 29-28. Despite the close score, the Texans outplayed the Dolphins in every significant statistical category.
The brightest spot may have been the continued efficient play of QB Chad Pennington. Pennington completed 19 of 25 passes for 284 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. However, the Texans kept the Dolphins rushers in check. Ronnie Brown gained only 50 yards on 13 carries, and Ricky Williams added 46 yards on 11 carries.
The next game against the Baltimore Ravens will be important. It will show whether the Dolphins are truly a better team, or if their two wins were flukes.
