Dolphins adding Carter, Glenn?

Among the players that the Dolphins are reportedly looking to add to their roster are former Cowboys Quincy Carter and Terry Glenn. Carter, who last took an NFL snap in 2004, had the best season of his career when Parcells was with the Cowboys in 2003, but a failed drug test led to his release. Glenn is coming off a knee injury, and the Cowboys released him because they were unconvinced that he would fully recover.

If the team signs Carter and Glenn (especially Carter), I would take that as a bad sign because it means the coaches have so little confidence in the players currently occupying those positions that they need to bring in players no one else wanted. In Glenn's case, if his knee does recover, adding him to the team is more acceptable, but I doubt he will ever have the same impact with the Dolphins as he did earlier in his career.
