Dolphins finish a perfect December
By beating the Tennessee Titans 24-10, the Dolphins have their first 5-game winning streak since 1999 and their first undefeated December in 20 years. They now also have a winning record, 8-7!
With Ronnie Brown sitting out due to knee and ankle injuries, Ricky Williams carried the load for the Dolphins, carrying the ball 26 times for 172 yards and a touchdown. It was his first 100-yard game since 2003. Gus Frerotte had a mediocre day, completing 14 of 30 passes for 151 yards, 2 touchdowns (both to Chris Chambers) and one interception.
For the Titans, Steve McNair injured his pectoral muscle during pregame warmups, was uneffective while he played, and came out for backup Billy Volek in the second quarter. The Dolphins defense held the Titans to 234 total yards and caused 3 turnovers.
