Dolphins win fourth straight, 24-20 over Jets
Sage Rosenfels took over for an injured Gus Frerotte and led the Dolphins to a comeback victory over the Jets, 24-20. Rosenfels went 6-for-13 with 99 yards and one touchdown. Before leaving the game, Frerotte had completed 8 of 16 passes for 76 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Rounding out the offense, Ricky Williams carried the ball 14 times for 70 yards and a touchdown, and Ronnie Brown gained 45 yards on 12 carries.
The Dolphins are now 7-7, a marked improvement over last season. However, they were mathematically eliminated from the playoffs today after victories by New England, Pittsburgh, and San Diego.
