Dolphins stun Bills with comeback win, 24-23
With Sage Rosenfels leading the charge, the Dolphins pulled off their biggest comeback victory since 1974, beating the Buffalo Bills 24-23 on a fourth down touchdown pass from Rosenfels to Chris Chambers with six seconds left. The Bills had a 23-3 margin with 12 minutes remaining before Rosenfels directed his three touchdown drives. He finished the day hitting on 22 of 37 passes for 272 yards, 2 touchdowns, and one interception. Starter Gus Frerotte completed 12 of 28 passes for 115 yards before being knocked out with a concussion. With all the passing, the running attack didn't get much play. Ricky Williams carried the ball 11 times for 46 yards and a touchdown, and Ronnie Brown added 22 yards on 9 carries.
