Dolphins end worst home campaign with loss

It figures. The Miami Dolphins couldn't even defeat the lowly Detroit Lions at home this season. Despite outplaying the Lions and leading them in most statistical categories, the Dolphins fell 34-27, giving the team a franchise worst 1-7 home record. Detroit also managed to win three straight games for the first time in over three years.

Miami led for most of the game and kept the ball almost fifteen minutes longer than Detroit did. However, two late interceptions of Chad Henne passes sealed the home team's demise. The game-winner came on an interception return for a touchdown with two minutes remaining. Henne's miscues wasted a 10-catch, 102-yard reception effort by Brandon Marshall and Ricky Williams' 71 yards on 14 carries.
