Dolphins win on Thanksgiving
Joey Harrington was on the winning side in his return to Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. Rallying from an early 10-0 deficit, Harrington threw for 3 touchdowns in a 27-10 victory. It was his best performance in a Thanksgiving game, mostly attributable to the fact that he was playing against the Lions, not for them. Harrington completed 19 of 29 passes for 213 yards, 3 touchdowns, and an interception.
The Dolphins running offense contributed as well. Ronnie Brown gained 68 yards on 15 carries before leaving with a hand injury. Sammy Morris stepped in and carried the ball 12 times for 91 yards, including a 55-yarder. The extent of Brown's injury wasn't revealed.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Dolphins held the Lions to 220 total yards and had eight sacks and two turnovers.
