Dolphins sign Bell, but Goodman, Hill and Holliday are gone
Safety Yeremiah Bell signed a four-year, $20 million contract with the Dolphins last week. With the signing of Gibril Wilson, the Dolphins seem to have their safeties set. However, two other players in the secondary left in free agency. CB Andre Goodman and safety Renaldo Hill (made expendable after Wilson's signing) both signed with the Denver Broncos. The Dolphins will need to replace Goodman either through the draft, free agency, or promoting nickelback Nate Jones.
The Dolphins also waived DE Vonnie Holliday. The move seemed to be driven mainly be financial realities. Cutting Holliday meant the Dolphins saved $5.75 million in salary cap money as well as a $1.5 million signing bonus.
