Dolphins re-sign Pennington, pick up Dansby in free agency
Quarterback Chad Pennington will be back with the Dolphins for at least one more season. The veteran QB signed a one-year contract worth $2.5 million (more if he starts). This is good news because a team needs two good quarterbacks in the NFL these. It's still uncertain which Chad will start, but both men seem to be supportive of the other if the other one should get the nod.
In free agency news, the Dolphins acquired linebacker Karlos Dansby in free agency. The former Cardinal signed a five-year deal worth $43 million, making him the highest paid defender on the team. This is a good pickup for the Dolphins because the Dolphins needed a linebacker and Dansby, 28, has a few good years left in him.

Dansby is a huge pick up. I've seen games where that guy is just dominant. If he can bring the same intensity and maybe pass it off to a few others, the Dolphins could have a great defense this coming year.
Even a semi-decent defense should help them as New England is about the only potent offense in their division.
