Dolphins get first win against Bills

The Miami Dolphins broke into the win column in a big way by thrashing the Buffalo Bills, 38-10. Chad Henne got the first start in his NFL career, and while the statistics weren't impressive, he played well enough for the team to win. Like the Colts game, Miami's running attack controlled the ball. However, unlike two weeks ago, the ground game's effectiveness translated into points and ultimately a victory.

How good were the Dolphins on the ground? They piled up 250 yards rushing for an average of 5.6 yards per run. Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams were equally effective. Brown carried 20 times for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Williams added 85 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.

Defensively, rookie Vontae Davis returned an interception for a touchdown in the second quarter. Ex-CFLer Cameron Wake sacked Buffalo QB Trent Edwards three times. The Dolphins totaled six sacks in all, but they also gave up six sacks.
