Olindo Mare traded to Saints

Kicker Olindo Mare was traded to the Saints for a sixth round draft pick. I was surprised that the team received such a low pick for a kicker of Mare's caliber, but the Dolphins weren't in much of a position to bargain, having already decided on Jay Feely as their new PK. Going to the Saints, who was Mare's first choice, will benefit him because New Orleans plays in a dome. Mare will, however, have to battle incumbents John Carney and Billy Cundiff for the starting spot.
